LG has officially launched the LG Vu 3, which packs a 5.2-inch display and 4:3 aspect ratio.

With a similar design to its predecessor the Vu 2, the new LG Vu 3 is only 0.2-inches larger despite its larger display.

Attempting to rival the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the LG Vu 3 also comes with its very own stylus.

LG Vu 3 Features
The LG Vu 3 has a 5.2-inch display with a 1280 x 960p HD Plus resolution screen at a 4:3 aspect ratio, powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM.

In the rear is a 13-megapixel camera with an LED flash and 1080p video recording at 30fps. This is combined with a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera.

Just 0.2-inches larger than its predecessor, the LG Vu 3 comes with the same Rubberdium stylus, but an updated Notebook app. LG has added features like acrylic paints, charcoal and eight new drawing tool options.

Running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the LG Vu 3 has some of the features introduced with the LG G2, including the Knock On functionality that allows users to wake the device with a double tap on the screen.

There isn’t any information on the battery or internal storage featured in the LG Vu 3 yet, but it will have 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

LG is launching the LG Vu 3 complete with an optical Quick View case that’s translucent and can be personalised with 7 different themes from within the device itself. Through the Quick View case, the LG Vu 3 displays the time, date, messages, notifications and currency information.

The LG Vu 3 will be available in Korea from September 27, but there’s no information on a worldwide rollout or how much the smartphone will cost as yet.
