LG has teased the launch of a sleek new phone, which is widely expected to be the so-called LG V10.
The 15-second-long teaser video mentions a launch date of October 1 at 11am, and offers the slightest of glimpses of the back of a phone with a dual-lens camera configuration and a distinctive right-angled zig-zag motif.
Earlier in the video we get a slightly blurry look at the side of the phone, which appears to have a swooping lip leading up to its top edge.
While the teaser is pretty vague, we already know what to expect. Last month a new LG phone cropped up on TENAA, China’s telecoms regulator. It showed a phone with a dual-lens front-facing camera and, you guessed it, a distinctive right-angled zig-zag motif.
Intriguingly, this new phone appears to occupy the space to the right of this dual-camera configuration with a secondary ‘ticker’ display.

When this phone initially leaked, serial tipster Evleaks referred to it as the LG V10. He also likened the secondary display to the effect achieved by the Samsung Note Edge‘s pronounced edge.
In other words, the LG V10’s ticker display could be used to push brief glanceable notifications without powering up the display, among other things.
