LG unveils Optimus L Series II entry-level Android phones

LG has spilled the beans on the new Optimus L Series II smartphone range ahead of its big MWC  debut.

LG has just confirmed the existence of the LG Optimus LG L7 II, the LG Optimus L5 II and the LG Optimus L3 II ahead of the big show in Barcelona at the end of February.

While it has only gone into detail on the specs of the Lg Optimus L7 II, benchmarking site GLBenchmark has provided the specs for the LG Optimus L5 II.

The LG Optimus L7 II is top of the range, with a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 IPS display and a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 CPU backed by 768MB of RAM, as well as 4GB of internal storage and a microSD slot.

This will be powered by a sizeable 2,460mAh battery, and you’ll also get an 8-megapixel camera around back.

The LG Optimus L7 II will run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Interestingly, it will launch first in Russia as a dual-sim device.

A little lower down the chain, the LG Optimus L5 II will come with a smaller 4-inch 800 x 480 display and an altogether weedier 1GHz single-core CPU from MediaTek. It’ll also run on Android Jelly Bean.

Finally, LG confirmed that the LG Optimus L3 II would come with a tiny 3.2-inch QVGA display.

Both the LG Optimus L5 II and the LG Optimus L3 II will be announced “at a later date” – presumably at MWC 2013.
