Although the web has been awash with rumours of an LG-built Nexus smartphone coming in 2015, we still don’t know much about the mystery device.
Fortunately, a new benchmark test readout seemingly reveals how much processing heft the elusive LG Nexus 5 is capable of.
To put that in perspective, the new Samsung Galaxy S6 currently ranks in second place with a score of 68,157, which is formidable in its own right.
We should point out that the score isn’t currently appearing on AnTuTu’s own website, so it’s impossible for us to verify the validity of the image.
As such, you should take this with a pinch of salt. Even more so because benchmarks can be misleading anyway, and AnTuTu scores aren’t necessarily representative of a real-world usage environment.
If the benchmark readout isn’t spurious however, it suggests that the LG Nexus 5 could be one of the most powerful smartphones we’ve ever seen.
As such, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see the device carrying Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 820 chip, which currently doesn’t appear on any smartphones.

So what else do we know about the LG Nexus 5 (2015)? Not much, unfortunately, save for that it might have a 5.2-inch display and a battery of 2,700mAh.
It’s also rumoured that Huawei is also working on a Nexus device for Google, albeit with a 6-inch display instead.
