LG’s new 55-inch curved TV comes to UK for £2999
LG has announced that its new 55-inch curved OLED television will be coming to the UK.
The LG EC930V will be available at a raft of UK electronics outlets, and is set to retail at £2999.
Andy Mackay, LG’s commercial director in the UK, says the new tele packs the ‘ultimate display’.
“
“So, at LG, we are committed to OLED TV to deliver true colours, wide angle viewing and the perfect viewing experience.”
Picture quality is on point, with the TV boasting ‘deepest blacks’ and bright, rich colours.
A high refresh rate also means you’ll not suffer any motion blur as a result of lightning-paced action sequences.
The new TV certainly looks the part too, offering up a ‘cinema screen’ display, a sculptured stand, nigh-on invisible bezels, and brushed metal aplenty.
LG also says its new TV can be wall-mounted, which it reckons is tantamount to ‘a true work of art’ – or at least handy for freeing up shelf space.
Like all of LG’s top-tier screens, the EC930V comes packing LG Smart TV, which makes use of WebOS.
The platform’s super-simple UI should make trawling through BBC iPlayer, Netflix, and Now TV an audiovisual breeze.
There’s also the Cinema 3D mode for lifelike viewing, with 2D-to-3D conversion software to boot.
LG’s latest is available right now from Currys, John Lewis, Richer Sounds, with a selection of other electrical retailers also tipped to be flogging the mega-screen.
