LG Hecto Laser TV projector March US launch date confirmed at CES 2013

At its CES 2013 press conference in Las Vegas today, LG has confirmed launch dates for its exciting laser projector – at least for Korea and the USA: its native country gets the short-throw Hecto laser TV projector this month, while on the other side of the Atlantic the laser projector will see a launch in March.

LG
Hecto Laser TV projector specs

We were pretty impressed when LG unveiled its 1080p short-throw ‘Hecto’, as it offers specs comparable to the best projectors. Using laser technology, it gives you a whopping 1,000,000 to one contrast ratio and fast response times.

Unlike traditional bulb-lit porjectors where you might need to buy an expensive proprietary replacement bulb after a few years, LG’s laser system in this home cinema powerhouse should last up to 25,000 hours, so there’s no problem using your projector as your main display every day.

Best of all, the Hecto laser TV projector does this from just 56cm from its projection surface, making it easily the most attractive short-throw home cinema beamer around.

The projector offers Smart TV features and LG’s Magic Remote to control them with. In addition to these and the usual selection of inputs (including three HDMI ports), the Hecto laser TV projector sports an integrated digital tuner, so that it can be the self-sufficient epicentre of your digital entertainment system.

LG
Hecto Laser TV projector UK launch

Unfortunately, no UK release date or price is yet known for the LG Hecto laser TV projector, but we’re pretty certain this amazing home cinema device already has a soft spot in our hearts, along with the amazing LG OLED TV.
