LG has confirmed two new entry-level smartphones for an IFA unveiling, the LG L Bello and LG L Fino.

The pair claim to offer some of the UI features from the flagship LG G3, but in a more affordable package.

“With their competitive specs and accessible pricing, we have high hopes for the L Fino and L Bello to continue our successful expansion into emerging markets,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Mobile. “Our newest L Series smartphones represent the best of LG in design, hardware and UX as well as our commitment to bringing the best smartphone experience to 3G customers as many as possible.”

The availability of this smartphone pair will start this month in Latin America. The L series handsets will then start rolling out to countries in Euope, Asia and the CIS. UK pricing will be announced closer to launch.

LG L Bello Features

The LG L Bello features a 5.0-inch IPS display with an 854 x 480p FWVGA resolution display. It runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and comes with 8GB of internal storage.

There’s no mention of microSD support at this stage either for the 3G only smartphone. It is powered by a substantial 2,540mAh battery though.

You will get an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, plus a 1-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.

As with the L Fino, LG is really pushing the fact these two phones come with some of the camera features from the LG G3. For example, you can use the one tap Touch & Shoot functionality in the Camera app. Gesture Shot is also there, allowing you to open and close your hand in front of the lens to start a three-second shutter countdown.

Elsewhere, you’ll be able to take advantage of the LG Knock Code feature and both are compatible with the Quick Circle Case.

The UI features we just outlined are also present in the LG L Fino. However, the Fino is the lower-powered of the pair.

It features a 4.5-inch 800 x 400p WVGA display running on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. There’s only 4GB of internal storage too.

Powered by a 1,900mAh battery, you get an 8-megapixel camera in the rear (sans autofocus) and a front-facing VGA alternative.
