LG giving 200 Brits chance to test LG G4 before it goes on sale

LG is seeking people in the UK to give it feedback on the impressive-looking LG G4 smartphone before it goes on sale to the public.

The firm is offering early access to 200 lucky punters, who can sign up for the opportunity from today until May 13. LG will announce the winners a couple of days later on May 15.

The test period lasts for 6 weeks, after which the firm will ask testers to send back the device or purchase it at a discounted rate. If you don’t send it back LG will sting you for the £250 guarantee you offer through your bank account details.

44 of the 200 will also have the chance to win and keep the device, once the campaign is over.

The trial will only give winning participants bragging rights for a couple of weeks, at best, as the device arrives in the UK on May 28. You can sign up for a chance to be one of the 200 testers here.

The £500, Leather-clad handset burst onto the smartphone scene this week, promising to be LG’s best yet.

It boasts a 5.5-inch QHD display, a 16-megapixel camera, the Snapdragon 808 SoC and 3GB RAM. It also has a 3000mAh battery pack and Android 5.1 Lollipop on board.

The company has drastically improved its mobile offerings in the last couple of years and, with HTC’s latest flagship, the One M9, failing to impress, LG has a real shot of climbing up the Android ladder.
