LG G4 leak

Reports of the LG G4 featuring a curved panel have taken a step closer to reality, with latest leaks looking to pin down the phone’s precise rate of bendage.

According to new murmurings out of LG’s homeland (via Business Korea), the inbound flagship phone will boast a display with a 300mm radius curve.

Now, this might sound like quite a severe bend, but in actuality it would see the 5.5-inch handset line up with quite a soft, subtle arc.

By contrast, the LG G Flex 2 – a phone prided on its curved nature – features a far fuller 700mm radius curvature.

If accurate, the G4’s 300mm curve would see the high-end handset line up with the same ergonomic bow as the MWC unveiled LG Spirit.

One of a number of rumours to surround the phone in recent weeks, the LG G4’s curved display will likely move from hearsay to reality in a matter of days at the phone’s April 28 launch event.

LG has been keen to offer up a number of early looks at its LG G3 follow-on, prematurely confirming the phone’s screen, camera and design.

Headlining a number of overly revealing teasers, the manufacturer has detailed how the Samsung Galaxy S6 challenger will feature a 16-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 wide aperture lens for improved low light photography.

This will be paired with a secondary, 8-megapixel camera up front and a 5.5-inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD display.

Further G4 features confirmed ahead of launch include the handset’s new leather-backed finish. The premium material looks set to be substituted in for the G3’s plastic finish.
