LG G3 UK release date – QHD phone now on sale

The LG G3 UK release date is upon us, with the latest flagship offering from the Korean manufacturer hitting British retailers today, June 26.

Having been officially unveiled late last month, the QHD display hosting LG G3 is now available in the UK, a little over a week ahead of the upcoming LG G Watch launch.

Previously the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 rival had been pegged for a July 1 arrival, so this new arrival – confirmed earlier this week – is sure to have appeased many eager consumers.

Already available in the company’s native Korea, the LG G3 pairs a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440p QHD display with a minimalist bezel which ensures the phone isn’t too big in the hand.

Early indications give us reason to be optimistic that G3 will be as successful globally as it has been in Korea,” Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company said in confirming the phone’s global launch plans recently.

“It’s quite an honour to be considered the new industry benchmark for premium smartphones but in the end, what really matters is how consumers feel about our latest flagship device because it was their feedback that helped us create G3.”

Given its flagship status, the LG G3 is being offered by most major UK networks and retailers.

Three is one such retailer stocking the G3. The network is offering the handset for free when taken out on a £35 per month tariff which comes with all-you-can-eat data, 600 minutes and unlimited texts.

The LG G3 specs sheet sees a 13-megapixel, optical image stabilised camera paired with a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM.
