The LG G3 S price has leaked, with the German arm of the handset manufacturer revealing the mid-range handset will set wannabe owners back around £275.
Although the G3 S – a device also known as the LG G3 Beat in certain markets – might not feature the same premium array of specs as its flagship sibling, the LG G3, this more affordable price should see it compete with the likes of the Google Nexus 5 and HTC One Mini 2.
“The LG G3 "s" will be available for a price of 349 euros (£276) in Germany from mid-August,” a statement on the official LG Germany website stated.
At present the Korean manufacturer has yet to announce an official LG G3 S UK release date and price.
In unveiling the 5-inch handset yesterday, the company suggested that the G3 S will be available “in the weeks that follow” at “a lower price point than was previously possible”.
Dropping down in size and ability from the 5.5-inch LG G3, the G3 S features a 5.-inch IPS display with a 1280 x 720p HD resolution.
Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and a 2540mAh battery, the G3 S features list is bolstered by 8GB of internal storage – expandable via microSD – 1GB of RAM and a camera bundle which sees an 8-megapixel rear-mounted offering joined by a 1.3-megapixel snapper up front.
Set to be available in three colours – white, black and gold – the G3 S will line up at 10.2mm thick and 134g in weight.
