LG is going to show off the LG G Flex 2 at the CES tradeshow in Las Vegas next year, at least according to new reports.

AndroidAuthority reckons January will see the curved smartphone sequel get a grand unveiling, with sources tipping it as a ‘major upgrade’.

The device will allegedly pack a high-resolution OLED screen in a ‘smaller form factor’, and will see a return of the self-healing plastic coating featured on the original LG G Flex.

Back in May we heard the G Flex 2 would be coming in early 2015, and would tout a very ‘unique’ feature.

It’s not out of the question that something even more oddball could be in store for the next LG G Flex, as LG released its display roadmap earlier this month which detailed plenty of unique screen designs.

Tipped for 2015 was a bending display, which could be a direct reference to the LG G Flex 2 design.

The original LG G Flex launched earlier this year, bemusing gadgeteers with its quirky curved design.

TrustedReviews scored the bendy blower a 6/10, praising it for a decent processor and detailed daylight photos, but lambasting the hefty price tag, poor screen quality, and iffy camera focus.

The handset featured a 6-inch flexible plastic OLED display, a 13-megapixel camera, and a self-healing rear that protected against scrapes and scratches.
