Lenovo Yoga To Have ARM

Remember the Lenovo Yoga? It’s a convertible 13-inch tablet/laptop whose keyboard folds around to become the tablet’s ‘rear’, with the famous Lenovo keyboard quality, excellent connectivity, and a 1,600 x 900 IPS screen. Frankly, we were rather excited for the X86 version with Windows 8, which looked to be sporting Ultrabook-equivalent innards with a powerful Core I processor backed by the usual 4GB of RAM and 128GB SSD minimum.

However, now it turns out there may well be an ARM version of the well-named Yoga running Windows 8 RT. Most likely it will be using Nvidia’s Tegra 3 or a variant there-of, as will be found in Asus’ high-end Windows Transformer tablets and of course, Microsoft’s own Surface RT.

One thing is for sure, there will be no shortage of convertible tablet/laptop designs when Windows 8 is released, with all the big players committed and a first-party option thrown into the mix. However, we’re willing to bet few will match the Yoga’s typing experience and connectivity at launch.

Will you be sticking to Android or may Windows for ARM win your heart? Let us know in the comments.
