Lenovo Yoga 3 hybrid unveiled at CES 2015

The Lenovo Yoga 3 has been officially unveiled at CES 2015, revamping the Chinese manufacturer’s line of multi-form PCs.

Following the introduction of the original Yoga back in 2012, the Yoga 3 has been formally unveiled with the same four design ‘modes’ as its predecessor – laptop, stand, tent and tablet.

Unveiling the device, Andrew Barrow, Director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Lenovo’s consumer group stated: “We are expanding the Yoga family with the new Yoga 3.”

He added: “Our focus has been to improve the experience of each mode so we kept the same four modes. We started with Yoga 2, shrunk it and have put in a new 14-inch display.

“We’ve added even more colours and infused it with out intelligent software – Harmony.”

Lenovo Yoga 3 Features
The Lenovo Yoga 3 comes in two guises, 11-inch and a 14-inch models. Both are slim, both are lightweight and both feature an impressive array of specs under the hood.

Kicking off with the 11-inch model, the compact Yoga lines up at just 15.8mm thick and a mere 1.2kg in weight.

Powered by Intel’s latest Core M processor, the machine offers up to 7 hours of battery life on a single charge and will be available with either a 256GB SSD or 500GB SSHD drive.

While featuring many of the same specs, in contrast, the 14-inch Yoga 3 weighs in at a slightly beefier 1.6kg and 18.3mm thick. A fifth-generation Intel Core i7 processor keeps things ticking along.

Despite their size differences, the two models feature the same 1920 x 1080p Full HD resolution LCD displays.

Coming in array of colours – Ebony Black, Clementine Orange, Platinum Silver and Chalk White – the Yoga 3 line runs Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 operating system alongside Lenovo’s own Harmony software.

Harmony offers optimised device settings for each of the four usage modes and presents users with a handy side panel of their most frequently used apps.

Lenovo Yoga 3 Release Date and Price
While Lenovo has been forthcoming on the Yoga 3’s specs, details on the tablet’s release date and price remain shrouded in mystery.

Expect to see the multipurpose device hit retailers this quarter.
