All eyes are on Google and LG in anticipation of the next Nexus phone.

Fortunately, a new leak offers clues as to what to expect from the long-rumoured LG Nexus 5.

A video showing off a purported render of the LG Nexus 5 has turned up courtesy of prolific leaker OnLeaks.

“The renders are based on detailed factory schematics provided to accessory-makers,” says comparison site uSwitch, which works in partnership with OnLeaks.

It continues: “They’re then used as the blueprint to ensure third-party accessories are compatible with as-yet-unreleased handsets.”

Check out the video below:

The most notable revelation in the video is the apparent inclusion of a fingerprint sensor.

The scanner looks to be positioned on the rear of the device, just below a protruding camera.

Other noteworthy design points include dual-stereo speakers on the front, a claimed 5.2-inch screen, and a USB-C port.

All those features have been rumoured previously, so this new video gels with early leaks regarding the mooted handset.

Neither Google nor LG has released any official details about a new Nexus handset, so take this leak with a pinch of salt.

It’s also worth noting that a second Nexus handset is also tipped to be in the works for 2015.

Apparently, it’s set to be built by Huawei, and will land as a phablet-sized successor to last year’s Nexus 6.

That device is also rumoured to feature both a USB-C port and fingerprint scanner.

Google typically announces its Nexus handsets in autumn, so we should find out the truth very soon.
