Knack 2 could be on the way, according to a developer’s CV

Knack 2 is in currently in development at Sony, according to a developer’s Linkedin profile.

Knack 2 has allegedly been in development since May 2015, according to the Linkedin page of a 3D animator working at XPEC Entertainment.

The Linkedin page of Mindy Liang (via NeoGAF) states that she “animated 3D character motions and cutscenes” for Knack 2 on PS4. It has since been completely removed from the page, giving us the impression that Sony has caught on.

However, it should be noted that a game’s presence on a CV does not confirm its development. Many projects are often prototyped, so this may be a one-time thing.

Sony is yet to confirm it is working on a Knack sequel, or if it will be exclusive to PS4.

The original Knack was a bit of a disappointment, but a sequel could easily improve upon its shortcomings with new mechanics and more varied gameplay.

Knack was a launch title for the PS4 in 2013 alongside Killzone: Shadowfall, Resogun and Assassin’s’ Creed Black Flag.

Despite a relatively lukewarm launch period, Sony has since released some great games for the system. Some of these include From Software’s Bloodborne, Infamous Second Son and Driveclub.

2016 will see the release of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Horizon: Zero Dawn and (fingers crossed) The Last Guardian; all coming exclusively to PS4.
