Kaspersky Pure 3.0 Total Security launched

Kaspersky Lab has launched Pure 3.0, its latest antivirus protection complete with new features to offer additional identity, password, and financial protection online.

The new Pure 3.0 Total Security software from Kaspersky Lab aims to provide safeguards against online identity theft threats, protecting the user’s financial and personal data via a host of new and improved features.

“The Internet has become a key element of our lives today and this has increased the potential ‘attack surface’ for cybercriminals,” said David Emm, Senior Security Researcher at Kaspersky Lab. “As increasing numbers of us bank, shop and socialise online, the number and sophistication of attacks from cybercriminals also rises, therefore we all need to make sure we are taking the necessary precautions to stay protected.”

“By incorporating award-winning technologies such as Safe Money and Automatic Exploit Prevention into Kaspersky Pure 3.0, we sought to develop a product that not only protects a PC but the digital identity and online assets of its user, whether that be bank details or personal photos.”

Kaspersky Pure 3.0 Total Security Features

Leading researchers into online safety, Kaspersky has optimised its new Pure 3.0 software to defend its users against cybercriminals with a range of improved features. The first, Safe Money, makes sure that any websites using online payment systems are genuine using security certificates and site reputation checks. Safe Money also uses a Secure Keyboard function, that makes sure any information entered on a site isn’t tracked with keylogging software.

Kaspersky Pure 3.0 provides a single, secured vault across all PCs installed with the software within which the user can store all their login information for a variety of sites, allowing the user to keep track of all their online passwords. The software will also generate a very complicated and sophisticated password via its Kaspersky Password Manager and save it to the cloud, meaning the user won’t have to memorise it.

Also provided with the Kaspersky cloud storage system, in connection with Dropbox, is secure online backup for photographs and other personal information stored on a user’s PC.

In terms of antivirus and malware protection, the Kaspersky Pure 3.0 Total Security software employs Automatic Exploit Protection to monitor and anticipate any attacks, by watching the software installed on the PC for unusual behaviour. If any of the programs try to perform abnormal activities or unauthorised actions, the software blocks it.

Pure 3.0 also includes improved parental controls, allowing parents to block unsuitable websites or filter the amount of information their children post on Facebook, including addresses and other personal information.

Kaspersky Pure 3.0 Total Security Price and Release Date
Compatible with Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP, Kaspersky Pure 3.0 Total Security software can be downloaded from the Kaspersky store from today. The security software one-year license can be bought for £59.99 for a one user license or £89.99 for three users to share.
