Jeremy Clarkson won’t appear as voice talent in Forza 6

Former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson will not feature as a voice talent for the upcoming Forza Motorsport 6 game, developer Turn 10 Studios has confirmed.

The axed host will not be providing his usual comments on car selections for the Xbox franchise, according to the game’s creative director Bill Giese.

“Jeremy will not be in this,” Turn 10’s Giese told The Verge.

However, the BBC show will still be involved via the test track, and Clarkson’s former partners Richard Hammond and James May will stay on as non-Top Gear specific “influencers”.

Giese added: “Top Gear is definitely a great partner of ours, we will definitely include the track. They are doing some [in-game] showcase events for us. We will include Richard Hammond and James May as part of our influencers, not specific about Top Gear, into the game.”

Of course, moving forward, Top Gear will now be hosted by Chris Evans, with rumours that Clarkson, Hammond and May are off to Netflix for a new auto-centric show.

According to recent reports, the trio could head up a ‘House of Cars’ original show on the streaming platform.

As for Forza 6, the game will hit Xbox One exclusively on 15 September, with a heavy focus on wet-weather racing. You can check out the latest gameplay trailer from this week’s E3 2015 show below.
