Be careful not to stuff this tiny handset into a cashpoint.
Fashion editions of just about every electronic device are all the rage. Sometimes they are branded “Lifestyle”, “Ultra Portable” or any one of a dozen names, but we all know the drill: slim as a supermodel fed on Rivita and finished in silver. Well, has Samsung got a model and a half (should that be half a model given the dimensions?) to show you.
In fact, the as yet unannounced P300 is not just small, it’s positively hobbit-esque (with a far superior waistline). Hardly any larger than a credit card, it weighs just 96g and yet packs in a 1.3 megapixel camera, 90MB of onboard memory and Bluetooth. Naturally, it isn’t a 3G handset, but since this isn’t 2007 you would’ve been mad to think it was in the first place.
Details are currently scarce to say the least, though it is understood to pack an 800mAh battery and a reasonably high res colour LCD. No matter what price or what network, this is bound to impress every single one of your friends who voluntarily wears pink shirts and any girl who likes to say phrases such as “That’s Hot!” will no doubt swoon too. Me, I’m just happy for the portability. The day I can have my phone, music, camera, email and broadband Internet in a single device that doesn’t even pooch my jeans will be a glorious one indeed.
Look out for more P300 related activities in Q1 next year. You know it is going to make you hate your current handset, but just deal ok?
