It took one man three years and £100,000 to make his own Ecto-1 Ghostbusters car, but it sure is awesome.
Paul Harborne really loves Ghostbusters. And so do we. But this guy really, really loves Ghostbusters.
Back in 2010, Harborne bought a 1960 Cadillac and then spent three years and an estimated £100,000 of his own money making it look like the Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters.
And we feel that it looks very similar to the iconic Ghostbusters car that we’ve all got a little spot for from our childhood movie watching antics.
“Every time we go out in this car, it’s crazy,” Harborne said. “Everybody who sees it recognizes it immediately for what it is. Everyone wants pictures, photos. They’re all stopping to chat about it. It is tough to go up the road without being spotted, even if you just want to go for some petrol, people follow you, people will want to ask questions — which is all very good. It is a very recognizable car.”

Of course, it does help the illusion the fact he’s dressed as a Ghostbuster for the entire video — even when he goes to the petrol station driving it.
Ghostbusters is returning to cinema this year with an all new and all-female cast, which includes Melissa McCarthy Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
There will be another version of the movie released at a later date with a more “traditional” cast.
