Has the iPhone 7 been jailbroken just 24 hours after its release?

Has the iPhone 7 been jailbroken less than 24 hours after entering the wild? A teenage hacker claims to have done just that.

Unfortunately, 19-year-old Luca Tedesco isn’t sharing details of the hack just yet, only photos of the new iPhone running the Lydia jailbreak App Store.

Apparently, Tedesco is mulling submitting the exploit to Apple’s lucrative bug bounty programme, rather than releasing it to the wider jailbreak community a la Pangu.

While the pictures and even video shared by Tedesco can’t be independently verified unless the young hacker goes rogue and shares his jailbreak with the world, there’s nothing that’s obviously bogus about the snaps.

You can see the purported photographic evidence of the iPhone jailbreak at the top, or watch the video below to see it in action.

Remember, while we find jailbreaking fascinating, we don’t recommend it for a number of reasons – at best, it’s going to void your phone’s warranty, and at worst, you’ll ‘brick’ your device.
