The latest dodgy iPhone 7 ‘leaked’ photo shows off a fat lens
Have we received our first proper look at the back of the iPhone 7, or just another example of how gullible some tech blogs can be?
We’re still a good four months off from an official iPhone 7 launch, but that hasn’t prevented a steady flow of images from flowing onto the internet. Whether any of these are genuine or not is another matter entirely.

The latest leaked image is certainly a compelling one, showing off a couple of interesting new design features, including a particularly gnarly looking lens. The image comes from Chinese social network Weibo, via French blog Nowhereelse. It appears to be a photo of the rear of the iPhone 7, complete with the redesigned antenna array we’ve heard about from previous rumours.
This image would seem to confirm that Apple isn’t abandoning the iPhone 6 design wholesale, but that it’s finally removing those ugly segmented antennae.
But by far the most interesting part of this photo is the device’s camera unit. It protrudes way more than initial leaks and renders seemed to suggest it would, and the lens itself seems to be refracting light in an unusual way, suggesting it isn’t flat.

Of course, as the report notes, it’s quite possible that this image has been manipulated in some way. Having gazed at it for a bit, the Trusted team are far from convinced it’s anything more than a bit of dodgy Photoshopping.
Still, ad part of a wider picture that sees the rumours and leaks surrounding the iPhone 7 combining into something like common consensus, it provides a few new points for discussion.
