iPhone 6S colours: What colours is the new iPhone available in?

How much is the iPhone 6S? Where can I buy it? What is 3D Touch? All of these enquiries pale when compared to the most important question of all – what iPhone 6S colours are available?

Hype over colours has surrounded Apple devices ever since 1998’s iMac G3 range. The newly announced iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, on sale as of 8am (London time) on September 25 – are no different.

The iPhone 6S colours available to buy are as follows:

  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Space Grey
  • Rose Gold

The first three colour options aren’t hugely surprising. They’re identical to the tints available for last year’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Many of you may be overjoyed about the new Rose Gold paint job. The salmon-hued iPhone was heavily rumoured prior to launch, although we were sceptical that Apple would actually take the plunge with pink.

Apple formally confirmed the existence of the iPhone 6S at an event earlier this month, revealing the handset alongside its larger sibling, the iPhone 6S Plus.

Both devices make up the ninth generation of Apple iPhones, and boast a host of new features.

For instance, both handsets utilise a pressure-sensitive 3D Touch display. That’s a similar technology to the Force Touch surfaces that appeared in the Apple Watch screen and the 12in MacBook’s trackpad.

The smartphones went up for pre-order on 12 September and are available in stores to buy as of 8am (London time), September 25.
