New iPhone 6 concept images, created by a third party designer, have offered a glimpse of how Apple’s larger screened, next-generation smartphone might look.
The latest iPhone 6 concept art, which has been created by designers Martin Hajek and Steve Hemmerstoffer and has no affiliation with Apple’s official plans, shows a handset which has traded in a physical home button in favour of a larger, almost edge-to-edge screen.
He added: “After the release of the iPhone 5s I decided to slap some gold finishing and of course a modified iOS7 onto our design.”
Although, as always, this iPhone 6 concept art is not an accurate representation of what Apple has in the pipeline, if it was, we must admit we wouldn’t be too disappointed as these renders look pretty impressive in our eyes.
With the iPhone 6 widely expected to see Apple introduce an all-new form factor to its leading smartphone line following two years with the same iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s finish, the iPhone 6 concept art shows a slimmer, curved edged handset.
Recent iPhone 6 rumours have seen claimed supply chain sources suggest Apple is working on new handset designs, with the expected Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One follow-on rival to increase in size. It has been hinted that phone will line up somewhere between 4.7-inch and 5-inch in size.
Although the latest iPhone 6 concept images have shown a handset without a physical home button, given the recent introduction of the fingerprint scanner incorporating TouchID home button, this omission is highly unlikely.
