iPhone 5S pictures show handset boxed and ready to ship

Newly leaked iPhone 5S pictures have shown the handset boxed and ready to ship, giving extra backing to claims that the phone will be launched this week.

With Apple having issued invites to a September 10 launch event in recent days, it is widely believed that the iPhone 5S unveiling will be held this Tuesday alongside the arrival of the heavily rumoured budget iPhone 5C.

What’s more, the iPhone 5S release date has been mooted for just ten days after the phone’s big reveal, with both of Apple’s next-generation smartphones seemingly set to hit retailers around the world on Friday, September 20.

Suggesting these iPhone 5S release date rumours could be on the money, images out of China have now claimed to show the iPhone 5S boxed and ready to be sent around the globe to meet the inevitable demand that follows any new iPhone launch.

Although unconfirmed, the leaked iPhone 5S box looks like the real deal, with Apple’s familiar fonts and styling depicted around a leading image of the upcoming phone.

The iPhone 5S pictures show a phone largely similar to that of the iPhone 5 before it, with the 4-inch handset making the jump to the WWDC 2013 unveiled iOS 7 operating system.

The only other notable change is a silver ring that encompasses the iPhone 5S home button. It has been repeatedly suggested that this ring is the much rumoured iPhone 5S fingerprint scanner which will act as a biometric based security measure for those new smartphone owners.
