iPhone 5S and budget iPhone to launch in ‘vast array of colours’

Apple’s eagerly awaited iPhone 5S and mooted budget iPhone will both launch in a ‘vast array of colours’, latest reports have suggested.

With recent iPhone 5S rumours having hinted the device will land in “6-8 colours,” latest reports have offered further insight, claiming that while the heavily rumoured budget iPhone will also be given a colourful makeover, the black colour scheme will be reserved for the flagship device.

Citing several unnamed sources, reports emerging from Makotakara have claimed the iPhone 5S will feature three additional colour options over its budget sibling, with the handset to line up in “navy, gold, orange, white and grey” hues.

The reports added that, taking a slightly different tangent, the budget iPhone would land in “white, pink, green, blue and yellow” colours.  Both models are expected to take vibrant design hints from the latest generation iPod touch with is available in multiple shades.

With the anonymous sources adding that Apple has already produced a limited run of 1,000 budget iPhones for field tests, it has been suggested the iPhone 5S will hit retailers with a dual LED flash in tow.

iPhone 5S Rumours
Widely expected to touch down later this year, the iPhone 5S release date has been rumoured for September, with the iPhone 5 follow-on believed to feature a form factor near identical to its predecessor.

More an incremental update that an out and out refresh, the iPhone 5S has been tipped to sport a speedier quad-core processor and improved camera optics over past models as Apple looks to claw back ground on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

With the Jony Ive inspired iOS 7 operating system redesign expected to be formally unveiled at WWDC 2013 next month, it is believed the iPhone 5S will be the first device to support the new Android challenger.
