iPhone 5C pictured yet again ahead of September 20 release date

Yet more iPhone 5C pictures have hit the web, with the budget Apple handset continuing to be leakier than a broken sieve ahead of a claimed September 20 release date.

Hitting the web courtesy of the Twitter based serial tech tipster @evleaks, the newly surfaced iPhone 5C pictures show the white rendition of the heavily rumoured Apple smartphone alongside a selection of as yet unannounced iPhone 5C cases.

Shown in a protective bumper and removable  plastic shell with Case-Mate branding, the iPhone 5C has also been shown off in a folio style case from the same manufacturer.

As well as offering yet another glimpse of the upcoming mid-range handset, the latest iPhone 5C leaks have also pointed towards a very precise iPhone 5C release date, with the phone tipped for a September 20 arrival.

Widely expected to be unveiled during an Apple launch event on September 10, the iPhone 5C release date has previously been mooted for September 20, with the cut-price, plastic clad handset tipped to land alongside the flagship iPhone 5S.

“Case-Mate showing off iPhone 5C cases, with a very specific shipping estimate: “EST. SHIP DATE 9/20/2013 8:00:00 AM”” the @evleaks tip stated.

Recent iPhone 5C rumours have pointed to the phone featuring a spec similar to that of the current iPhone 5 just within a cheaper, plastic shell.

Despite having been the subject of many leaks and much speculation in recent months, the iPhone 5C is still to be confirmed and former Apple executive Tony Fadell has told TrustedReviews he believes it will be ‘hard for Apple to do’.

“It is really hard for Apple to make anything low cost, so it’s going to be really hard for them to produce a low cost iPhone,” Nest CEO and former Senior VP of Apple’s iPod Division Fadell said in a recent interview.

“I think they should [make a low cost iPhone],” he said. “We made really low cost iPods so I think there is a way to make a low cost iPhone.”
