A selection of iPhone 5C cases have been released by accessory manufacturers, despite the much mooted budget Apple handset not set to be unveiled until next week.
With iPhone 5C rumours having kicked into overdrive in recent weeks and Apple’s plastic clad smartphone offering leaking left, right and centre, case manufacturers have now started chancing their luck in releasing iPhone 5C cases ahead of the phone’s arrival.
The first to speculatively offer its claimed iPhone 5C cases, American accessory maker Hard Candy yesterday launched a selection of covers for the upcoming Apple phone, with all the designs point to the phone having a rounded cornered finish similar to that of the old iPhone 3GS.
Not content with jumping the gun on the iPhone 5C, the manufacturer has also announced a selection of iPhone 5S cases as its looks to support both the budget device and new flagship Apple phone.
All of the company’s iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S cases have been unveiled alongside a $39.95 (£25.65) price tag and are set to go on sale in October.
With Apple having confirmed the long awaited iPhone launch event will be held at its Cupertino campus in California next Tuesday, September 10, a number of recent rumours and leaks have pegged the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S release date as September 20.
Despite bullish and confident in the accuracy of its iPhone 5C cases, Hard Candy has confirmed that the pre-release products are still speculative.
“Hard Candy did not work with Apple in any way to confirm the dimensions, but they are confident they will fit perfectly,” an official spokesperson said after being questioned by TrustedReviews. They added that on previous Apple released they “have been right 4 out of 5 times in the past.”
