Long the subject of rumour and speculation, the latest iPad Pro leaks have seen the slate’s oversized dimensions make a premature appearance.
As well as detailing the tablet’s larger than life form, the leak claims that the Pro will do away with Apple’s iPhone and iPad adorning Lighting connector in favour of a new USB Type C port.
If accurate, this would see the Cupertino-based firm’s next tablet offering echo the connectivity options of the company’s most recent laptop, the new MacBook.
The device blueprint reportedly dates back to December 2014, suggesting the slate is well along its development lifecycle.

The iPad Pro has long been tipped to make an appearance in 2015. With tablet sales slowing, Apple is reportedly looking to pitch its revamped slate at a more business-orientated audience.
The company’s annual developer conference, WWDC – the likely launch platform for the Pro – is scheduled to be held between June 8 and 12.
