With the iOS 7 release scheduled for later today, the eagerly awaited Infinity Blade 3 game has made a premature appearance in the Apple App Store.
A game used to demonstrate the benefits of the iPhone 5S’ 64-bit processor during the phone’s formal unveiling last week, Infinity Blade 3 marks the next step of smartphone and tablet based gaming, with dynamic 3D worlds, intuitive touch controls and online multiplayer modes all thrown into the mix.
Built around the new Unreal Engine, the Infinity Blade 3 game will let you battle things out as two playable characters, with developer ChAIR Entertainment stating the game will be brimmed with “adrenaline-fueled sword-fighting action.
They added that the release will allow gamers to “explore larger, [more] beautiful and immersive environments that dynamically change as you choose multiple gameplay paths.”
Branded as being “fully compatible with iOS 7,” the Infinity Blade 3 App Store listing suggests that “it is highly recommended that you upgrade your device to the latest iOS version” before downloading. A sizeable release, the Infinity Blade 3 download will require 1.47GB of available storage.
One of the first apps to be fully compatible with the new iOS 7, Infinity Blade 3 will set wannabe owners back the princely sum of £4.99.
The biggest overhaul to the iOS system to date, iOS 7 brings an all new look to the Apple OS as well as a raft of new features including a dramatically improved Siri and revised Control Centre.
