In your face, Android Wear! Microsoft Outlook takes centre stage
Microsoft has revealed a new version of its hit Outlook email app for Android Wear smartwatches.
The company wants to take up residence front and centre on Google-powered watches, with a custom face alerting users to emails and calendar appointments.
In a post on the Office blog (via The Verge) Microsoft writes: “Details of your next event are front and center, showing you how much time is left until your next meeting and where you have to be.
“You also have information on how many new emails you have received since you last looked at your phone.”

Users will also be able to delve deeper, see detailed information and interact with messages. The watch face also comes in an array of attractive colours.
Overall, this seems like one of those solid use cases for smartwatches, where folks can get a perfect snapshot of their day and notifications while leaving phones in pockets.
