Iiyama is the latest to hop aboard with the launch of the 'ProLite T2250MTS', a 22in 16:9 1920 x 1080 resolution display designed to take advantage of all the finger friendly goodness in Windows 7.
Specs are fairly standard with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time and 270 cd/m2 brightness, but its 1W max power output in standby mode is impressive while its analogue and DVI connectivity means it will work happily on Mac OS X too. That fact HDMI and/or DisplayPort are missing seems a bit of a missed opportunity though.
That said, iiyama is making up for these omissions by hitting back hard on price and at just £239 ex VAT the T2250MTS is around £40-50 less than other multi-touch monitors we've seen to date. There's also a three year warranty provided as standard.
So if you're after some wallet friendly finger loving action (err...) the iiyama ProLight T2250TS is looking to be one of your better options.
