iBoardbot is a robot that can write on glass
Sometimes crowdfunded projects can be incredibly useful, and sometimes they’re just a cool idea that will impress people. iBoardbot is definitely in the latter category.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that, especially when it’s as cool as this. It’s a robot you control over the internet, that can write, draw and wipe on a glass surface.
It does have its uses. You could use it to show notices in your office or shop, and because it has a multi-user interface, you can open it up and have lots of people throw in their tuppence worth. Because it’s controlled over the internet, you can write on it from anywhere in the world. Just don’t let John from accounts brag about being on the beach instead of in the office.

You control it using a web app through a laptop, desktop, smartphone or tablet. Draw or write on the screen, and the iBoardbot will replicate it on its glass screen. It writes using its own font, and will adjust the text size so it fits. But it’ll replicate your drawings exactly, so you’d better sharpen up your art skills.
It’s raised over £2,000 of an £11,000 goal and still has 29 days to go. Want one? It can be yours for £129 on an early bird. If successful, it will ship in April.
