Huawei Watch release date is “right around the corner”
The Huawei Watch was first unveiled back in March, but all’s been quiet on the wearable front since then.
Fortunately, Huawei’s fledgling smartwatch looks set to arrive imminently.
That’s according to Huawei’s own US website, which claims the Huawei Watch is “right around the corner”.
The page, which is a new addition to the website, gives would-be customers the opportunity to sign up for “the latest news and updates about the Huawei Watch”.
We’ve been expecting the Huawei Watch to be officially released at some point in September.
We’ll likely hear more on that front at the IFA technology trade show in Berlin, which runs through the first week of September.
If you’ve forgotten all about the Huawei Watch – and we wouldn’t blame you – here’s a quick reminder of the specs:
- 1.4in AMOLED display
- 400 x 400 pixel resolution (286ppi)
- 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
- 4GB storage
- 512MB RAM
- 300mAh battery
- Android Wear
- Optical heart-rate sensor
- Stainless-steel body
- Sapphire Crystal glass screen
- Bluetooth 4.1
- Six-axis motion sensor
Unfortunately, Huawei has yet to confirm official pricing for its smartwatch, so we still don’t know how much it’ll cost come September.
