There’s plenty of hype surrounding Google’s next Nexus smartphone, so leaks are dropping by the dozen.
The latest Nexus leak could be our best look yet at the much-rumoured Huawei Nexus 6 (2015), expected to launch later this year.
Two images and a render have emerged purportedly showing off the handset in close-up.
What’s more, they come courtesy of prolific – and oft-reliable – leaker OnLeaks.
So, what are the most noteworthy bits of these leaked snaps?
The first is the metal chassis, which we’ve already heard rumoured, but can now see in the flesh...or rather, aluminium.
It’s no surprise that Huawei is opting for that sort of build, as we’ve already seen the smartphone manufacturer use metal casing on its own handsets, most recently with the Huawei P8.
Next up is the widely leaked fingerprint sensor, which appears to be positioned on the rear of the device, just as we expected.
As such, the Nexus 6 (2015) will potentially be the first ever Nexus smartphone to feature a fingerprint scanner.
The device is also expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which offers standardised fingerprint sensor support. How convenient.
The device also looks reasonably slim, which fits with a previous leak that pointed to a 6.6mm edge profile – that grows to 8.5mm in the middle, mind – thanks to the curved chassis.
The handset is large compared to the hand holding it, which gels with rumours that suggest it will feature a 5.76-inch display.

Google has yet to confirm any such details, so take this latest report with a pinch of salt.
