Huawei has officially unveiled its latest budget Android smartphone with the Huawei Ascend G330 outed as a 4-inch Ice Cream Sandwich offering.
Building on the successful base of the Huawei Ascend G300, the Huawei Ascend G330 is set to rock the budget smartphone market when released later this year, with the 1GHz single-core handset sporting a £100 SIM-free price tag.
Huawei Ascend G330 Specs
Running Google Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, the Huawei Ascend G330 plays host to a 1GHz dual-core process with the zippy CPU lining up alongside 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded by the handset’s integrated microSD slot.
With a 4-inch 800 x 480p display taking pride of place on the front of the handset, a 1500mAh battery under the cover should keep the device chugging through a full day’s heavy usage.
Bringing some multimedia and entertainment credentials to the Huawei Ascend G300, a handset which is set to come pre-installed with the BBC iPlayer app and a copy of EA’s Sims Freeplay, the device features a 5-megapixel rear-mounted camera with a second, forward-facing snapper lining up on the smartphone’s fore.
Huawei Ascend G330 Release Date and Price
Set to launch exclusively to TalkTalk later this year, Huawei Ascend G330 prices will see the handset available for free from as little as £10 per month or on a SIM-free basis for just £100.
For those not keen on signing up to TalkTalk, the Huawei Ascend G330 will be rolled out across a selection of other, as yet unconfirmed networks in the new year.
