The long-rumoured HTC U12 – codenamed Imagine – will ship with a Snapdragon 845 CPU, at least 4GB of RAM and a dual rear-facing camera setup, according to information shared by Twitter tipster LlabTooFer.
It’s believed that the HTC U12 will also be equipped with a 6-inch QHD+ screen, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a dual rear-facing shooter (16-megapixel + 12-megapixel), as well as Android 8.0 Oreo skinned with HTC’s Sense 10 user interface.
The tipster noted in a separate tweet that the HTC U12 – which is expected to tout a squeezable frame like its predecessor, the HTC U11 – will hit the shelves in Europe and North America sometime in April, corroborating an earlier report.
In January, a render surfaced highlighting a handset, believed to be the HTC U12, with an edge-to-edge screen, though the lack of detail resulted in us drawing the conclusion that it’s something a ten-year-old could have put together using Microsoft Paint.

At the time, we pointed out that the HTC U11 featured a front-facing fingerprint sensor, but that was nowhere to be seen on the HTC U12, leaving us to wonder where it had been moved to. We came up with two ideas: under the screen or on the back of the device.
