HTC is set to launch a new range of Android smartphones for 2012 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month which will all come under the HTC One brand.
Until now we have seen and heard leaks about a number of HTC devices known as the Edge/Endeavor and the Ville but these were always just going to be codenames, and according to sources speaking to PocketNow, the phone which was originally known as the HTC Edge, then the HTC Endeavor will be known at launch as the HTC One X (to be written like OneX).
The HTC OneX, the phone formerly known as the HTC Endeavor
Adding some substance to this rumour is the fact that the Danish URL, www.htc-one-x.dk has been reserved by an HTC subcontractor. The HTC One X will come with a 4.7in screen, quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 8 megapixel camera and run Android 4.0.
Moving onto the phone formerly known was the HTC Ville, Slashgear is reporting that this will be known as the HTC One S when it launches in Barcelona. This phone will be a step down from the flagship One X with ‘only’ a dual core processor, a 4.3in qHD display, but it will also run the latest version of Android – skinned of course by HTC Sense 4.0.
Finally, rounding out HTC’s line-up at MWC is likely to be a mid-range phone called the HTC One V, which according to Pocket-lint will be a Beats-infused smartphone, which could come with the new Beats app for streaming music we’ve been hearing about recently.
The HTC Ville, now to be known as the HTC OneS
While specs for the HTC One V could not be confirmed by the source speaking to Pocket-lint, the phone is expected to have a 3.7in screen, a 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5 megapixel camera and it will also come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

HTC usually reserves its major announcements for MWC and these three phones should be enough to keep most smartphone fans happy. The company is also set to launch a new tablet though details on this are a little less well known.
