The HTC One range was unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2012, including the flagship quad-core 4.7in HTC One X, the mid-range dual-core HTC One S and the ‘budget’ HTC One V.

While knowing what a phone looks like and what its specs are is all well and good, for most people the decision to buy or not to buy a phone comes down to one thing – price. Therefore it is with interest that we see online retailer Clove announcing the availability of the One range on pre-order.

Clove has priced the HTC One X at £492 (inc VAT and SIM-free), which is £100 cheaper than the equivalent 32GB iPhone 4S, but is still a sizeable chunk of change. For your money you will get a quad-core processor, Android 4.0, a 4.7in HD IPS display and an 8 megapixel camera. Clove says the HTC one X is due on 5 April.

Moving down the one range, the HTC One S has been priced at £450 (inc VAT and SIM-free) and will again be available on 5 April. This seems to represent pretty poor value compared to the One X considering you get a dual-core processor, only 16GB of storage and a 4.3in screen with a resolution of 590x960 pixels - though it is only 7.8mm thick compared to the bulky 9.3mm of the One X.

Finally, the ‘budget’ model in the One range, the HTC One V can be pre-ordered now for just £264 (incl VAT and SIM-free) but won’t be available until 26 April. If you do hold out for the V, you’ll get a five megapixel camera, a 1GHz processor, Android 4.0, a 3.7in 480x800 display, 4GB of storage as well as in-built Beats Audio technology.

Of course all the phones will also be available on a subsidised contract basis from UK networks with Orange and Vodafone so far saying they will be offering the HTC One X and HTC One S in the second quarter of 2012.

Are these prices too high or will you begin saving up now to buy one of the HTC One range? Let us know your thoughts in the comments and make sure to check out our HTC One X vs HTC One S vs HTC One V feature to get the low down on the three new phones.
