HTC has officially launched its 4.3-inch display version of its flagship, the HTC One mini.

Following in the footsteps of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, HTC has launched a pint-sized version of the HTC One, complete with a lower price point, a 4.3-inch 720p HD display and packs a 1.4GHz dual-core processor.

All the specs unsurprisingly fall into line with previous HTC One mini leaks, making the handset a potentially great mid-range alternative to the flagship HTC One.

HTC One mini Features
A full five millimetres smaller in height and width than the HTC One flagship, the HTC One mini has a 4.3-inch 720p HD display with a 431ppi image density.

The HTC One mini will be powered by a dual-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

As with the HTC One it lacks a microSD card slot but comes with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE connectivity.

It also features the same HTC BoomSound technology as the HTC One via its dual front-facing speakers and has Beats Audio innards too.

In the rear is the same HTC UltraPixel camera from the flagship offering f/2.0 aperture and 28mm lens with Full 1080p HD and HDR video recording to boot. Although the front-facing snapper has been downgraded to 1.6-megapixels from 2.1-megapixels in the HTC One mini.

Users will still be able to benefit from the HTC Zoe photography software in the smaller handset, which turns the usually still photo gallery into an animated memory bank.

Packing the newest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, the HTC One mini has the latest HTC Sense UI overlaiden, which means it comes complete with the HTC BlinkFeed home screen. This news aggregator offers local and global content from over 1,400 media sources providing a instaly updated content feed.

The HTC One mini is powered by an 1800mAh battery, which HTC claims will offer up to 20 hours of talk time.

HTC One mini Release Date and Price
The HTC One mini will launch in August. Currently, there’s no word on exact prices, but HTC has said it will be two price points below the HTC One.
