The HTC One M8 Mini price might be higher than expected according to two European retailers.
Two Finnish online retailers have listed the HTC One M8 variant with a rather steep price tag, ahead of any official announcement from HTC itself.
According to Multitronic and SystemaStore, the HTC One M8 Mini will retail for €520 SIM-free, which would put it around the £425 mark.
This would place the launch price of the M8 Mini a lot higher than the £380 RRP for the original HTC One Mini.
However, it looks like the HTC One M8 Mini could pack fairly decent mid-range specs, similar to what Sony did with the Sony Xperia Z1 and Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, but not quite as good – smaller screen doesn’t necessarily mean worse specs.
The HTC One M8 Mini should pack a 4.5-inch 720p HD display running on a dual-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, compared to the quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor found in the flagship.
It looks like the M8 Mini won’t come with the dual-sensor UltraPixel camera though, but a 13-megapixel affair.
16GB of internal storage will be useful with that 13-megapixel rear snapper, plus you’ll get Android 4.4 KitKat with the latest version of the HTC Sense UI.
The HTC One M8 Mini release date is expected to be unveiled this month, but a precise date hasn’t yet been revealed.
If the amount of leaks and the official press renders are anything to go by though, we could see the M8 Mini arrive imminently, which would be quite the turnaround for HTC seeing as the One M8 was only launched in March.
