HTC One M8 lined up against rivals in latest photo leak

The HTC One M8 has been lined up against some rival handsets in the latest photo leak.

A fresh batch of leaked photographs of the upcoming HTC One M8 flagship show the device lined up against some existing handsets for size comparisons.

The images from French blog NowhereElse.fr pitch the HTC One M8 up against the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Sony Xperia Z1, iPhone 5S and LG G2.

By size comparison the HTC One M8 is taller than every other smartphone in the line-up apart from the Galaxy Note 3. The HTC One M8 is expected to launch with a 5-inch full 1080p HD display, which can’t quite match the 5.7-inch full 1080p HD Super AMOLED screen of the Note 3.

The M8’s length is also helped by the dual front-facing stereo BoomSound speakers at the top and bottom of the device, as well as the black strip below the screen for the HTC logo.

However, it has thin bezels at the side, making in narrower than the majority of the smartphones it is compared to in these shots. It’s considerably narrower than the Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Z1 and LG G2 from the looks of these images as well.

Along with the comparison snaps, the blog also released some fresh images showing off the One M8 from all angles.

Thanks to a wealth of previous HTC One M8 there’s nothing new that we could spot in the photos.

As you’d expect the dual-sensor rear UltraPixel camera is there in all its glory, as are the on-screen navigational buttons, the repositioned power button, increased focus on HTC BlinkFeed and the new metallic grey colour option.

The HTC One M8 will be officially announced on Tuesday March 25, with the release date occurring on the same day according to recent information from Carphone Warehouse, who admitted it will stock the handset from 4pm on March 25 in select stores.
