The HTC One M8 has been spotted in a new leaked photography, supporting rumours of a twin-sensor rear camera.

Tipped to launch at a New York-based event in March, the first photograph of the HTC M8 or HTC One 2 has been seen online.

Although the shot only shows the rear of the HTC M8, it gives us some indication as to what features it will have when it launches later this year.

The photograph was uploaded to Twitter by @htcfamily_ru, which hasn’t got much of a reputation when it comes to leaks. However, the picture seemingly supported previous rumours of the HTC M8 arriving with a dual-sensor rear camera.

A pair of camera sensors are very prominent on the rear of the HTC M8 in the picture, which supports rumours of an UltraPixel camera upgrade.

Earlier this year, a “person with direct knowledge of the plans” suggested the HTC M8 will feature a twin-sensor rear camera to improve depth of field, image quality and focus over the HTC One.

If this is the HTC M8, it would seem the rumours have an ounce of truth to them.

Although previous leaks suggested the HTC M8 will feature a fingerprint scanner akin to the HTC One Max, the rear panel of the device seems to suggest this won’t happen. However, HTC may well choose to move a fingerprint scanner to the front of the device, following in the footsteps of the iPhone 5S.

Apart from a strikingly similar design to the HTC One and a dual LED flash, we can’t glean much else from the leaked HTC M8 picture.

However, other leaked specs include a larger 5-inch 1080p full HD display running on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU with 2GB of RAM.
