Champions League Final Live Stream: How to watch Real Madrid vs Athletico Madrid online for free

It’s an extra special bank holiday weekend this May. As well getting a day off on Monday, the Champions League final takes place at Milan’s famous San Siro stadium later today.

The match sees Spanish La Liga outfits Real Madrid and Athletico Madrid vying for European football’s ultimate prize – local derbies don’t come much bigger than this!

Want to watch the match but not sure if you can? It’s certainly not as straightforward as in year’s gone by, after BT Sport secured the exclusive rights to Champions League and Europa League football – to the tune of nearly £1 billion.

However, BT is feeling rather benevolent when it comes to the Champions League final, especially when it comes to watching the match online.

It’ll be live streaming the Real vs Athletico showdown both on its website and via its YouTube channel completely free of charge. Coverage starts at 6pm UK time ahead of a 7:45pm kick-off on Saturday 28 May.

As it’s available to stream over the web, that also means that you can easily tune in from your mobile device if need be – just follow the same links and pray for decent Wi-Fi or 4G coverage.

You can also tune in to live TV coverage for free, if that’s more your style.

If you’ve got a Freeview box, just head to BT Sport Showcase (channel 59) and you’re all good. Sky customers without BT Sport are also in luck, if only temporarily – tune in to channel 414 or 433 depending on your set-up and you can enjoy SD coverage. Similarly, Virgin customers should go to channel 548 for their taste of the action.

That’s it. Wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, you should be able to watch tonight’s (presumably) epic Champions League final match.
