How having Wynd can finally keep the air around you fresh

A brand new portable air purifier, which promises to keep the air around you fresh and clean, is already blowing a gale on Kickstarter

Dubbed the world’s smallest purifier, the water bottle size device is able to monitory the air particles around your personal space and clean it up as required.

The video, posted to the Wynd project page, depicts Wynd around the home, in a baby’s pushchair (dark, but sadly necessary) on a night stand and the office desk at work.

It works by creating a bubble of healthy air around the user. Dirty air is drawn into a medical grade filter through the speaker grille-like vents. Clean air is then propelled through the top.

The purifier is combined with a detachable LED-lit air quality tracker will alert users to the level of smoke, allergens and dust particles in the air and report the information back to a smartphone app.

The app shows the quality of the air around the user, which then informs the decision to alter the strength of the filter. Once the filter is spent, a setting within the app can enabled to ship a new one.

“What we breathe matters,” says founder of Wynd Ray Wu. “We’ve all had experiences or know of loved ones that have been affected by poor air quality, whether that’s from allergens, germs, smoke or industrial pollution.

“I created Wynd as I’d watched for years how my relatives in Beijing have suffered from poor air quality. We want to enable everyone, no matter where they live to enjoy a healthy air environment.

The retail package worth $189 is currently up for grabs for as little as $129 for Kickstarter early birds.

The company is already more than half way to its $50,000 funding goal, with 39 days to go.
