Honor Holly lands as Huawei spin-off’s third smartphone

Honor has today announced its third-ever smartphone, oddly named ‘Holly’.

The new blower is distinctly low-end fare, but sports a reasonable £110 price tag that seems suited to the underwhelming spec sheet.

For starters, you’re looking at a 5-inch display running a 720p resolution.

Packed inside is a quad-core 1.3GHz processor of unknown origin, as well as 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage.

The backside of the device sports an 8-megapixel F2.0 aperture camera sensor, while the front comes equipped with a 2-megapixel shooter.

All of this is powered by Android 4.4, with cellular connectivity coming courtesy of dual SIM slots.

Honor revealed to TrustedReviews that the Honor Holly price is confirmed to be ‘under £100’, and ‘probably between £70 and £90’.

The company says its latest smartphone – now part of a trio with the Honor 3C and Honor 6 – will be landing on February 23 in the UK.

Honor, for those of you who aren’t aware, is a subsidiary of Huawei that manufacturers smartphones.

It’s Huawei’s attempt to take on China’s Xiaomi in the low-end market, while keeping its own name secure for premium mobiles.
