Honor is on a bit of a product spree this week, revealing the Honor Band Zero just one day after its new flagship Honor 7 smartphone was announced.
The Honor Band Zero is the Huawei spin-off brand’s first smartwatch, and marks the company’s effort to muscle in on the burgeoning wearables space.
The company announced the Band Zero through Twitter, touting it as a “smart wearable device that embodies a minimalistic design.”
Unfortunately, Huawei and Honor haven’t really detailed much else about the newly unveiled wearable – including whether it’s a smartband or a time-toting smartwatch.
However, a GSMArena report claims knowledge of the device, and purports that the Band Zero will launch in China in August. There’s no mention of a UK release, unfortunately.
The report goes on to reveal that the Band Zero uses a brushed metal bezel that surrounds a circular touch display. It’s also IP68 water- and dust-resistant certified.
But what can it actually do? Well it’s claimed the Ban Zero will display call and message notifications, and function as a pedometer and sleep tracker.
