HoloLens support could come to PC and Xbox One
Microsoft is considering adding PC and Xbox One support to the HoloLens, if the device’s initial launch works well.
The HoloLens is designed as a standalone product rather than a peripheral for your PC, console, tablet, phone or other device.
Although it’s initially being developed as its own product category, Microsoft is contemplating whether it will add PC and Xbox One support in the future.
Speaking with Polygon, Xbox boss Phil Spencer revealed that if the HoloLens is successfully launched as a standalone product, it would then be configured to work with existing platforms.

The augmented reality technology HoloLens runs on Windows 10 and allows you to place holographic imagery over your natural field of vision. You’ll be able to interact with what you see in front of you by using various gestures.
It knows exactly where your eyes are gazing at all times, meaning you can just point your fingers at items you can see to select them.
That will make it easy to select apps and other content in the Windows 10 interface.
The HoloLens headset has a see through lens and Spatial audio.
Although Minecraft was a large part of the Windows 10 event demonstration of the HoloLens, Spencer added that the device’s primary function isn’t gaming.
“I think gaming will be important. Specific scenarios with the Xbox we’re thinking hard about where people could ask about streaming solutions, use it as a display for Xbox, we don’t have answers for any of those things.”
