Hitman Season 2 confirmed at Paris Games Week
IO Interactive has confirmed to French outlet Gamergen that Hitman has a second season in development.
Speaking at Paris Games Week, the developer confirmed the upcoming second season will utilise the same launcher as the first, carrying over unlocks and equipment from previous episodes.
Elusive Targets and additional missions will still appear on earlier maps even after Season 2 has begun, meaning IO Interactive has plans to support all episodes going forward.
The studio may even return to previously explored cities and countries with all new locations. We’d love to explore the likes of Tokyo and other locations in the US.
Much of this information comes through NeoGAF, who have helpfully translated the most important information from the interview.

The first season of Hitman has proven to be a fantastic stealth adventure, and one of the finest titles of 2016.
Simon Miller scored the latest episode 9/10 in his review, describing it as “an easy contender for one of the games of 2016, and an example of how to do episodic gaming correctly. There may have been the odd technical hiccup along the way, but the end result is excellent.”
At the moment, Hitman is only available in digital form across PS4, Xbox One and PC. However, IO Interactive has plans to release a physical collection in January 2017.
