Hitman could have another two seasons in the future, says IO

IO Interactive has plans to release a total of three seasons for Hitman, however, a second is yet to be confirmed by Square Enix.

The developer confirmed its plans for the open-world stealth title when answering fan questions on Twitter.

As it stands, only three episodes of Hitman’s first season have been released – Paris, Sapienza and Marrakesh – with three more to come later this year.

The next episode, which takes Agent 47 to the mysterious streets of Bangkok, is set to launch for PS4, Xbox One and PC on August 16.

IO Interactive plans to release all remaining episodes in the first season by the end of 2016, with a physical release to follow in 2017.

We’d be more than happy for the developer to expand upon its episodic formula with even more locations, especially if they become more diverse and ambitious with each new entry.
